Save America One Business at a Time
Bexar County
San Antonio, TX
Democracy thrives in a culture of independent, local, small businesses. Democracy suffers in an environment of huge, distant, centralized businesses. Stop feeding the lions and start feeding your neighbors instead. For just the FIRST FOUR DAYS every month:
* Buy at least one book from an independent bookstore.
* Support local independent business owners, small stores and family farms, even if it's a little more expensive. (That way they can have money to spend in our businesses!)
* Commit to NOT BUY anything from a chain store or mass-discount online retailer unless there are no local alternatives.
Increase the power local business owners have, supporting our local economies, and decrease the power huge corporations and those they support have. It will make a difference.
